Lucy and Penny’s are 3 weeks old! Lucy’s puppies have started on puppy mush. They love it! They are using the turf to go potty and the potty pads sometimes. They have a ways to go but We’re always so amazed at how fast they grow! They all have eyes open and ears are opening they all walk sutil a little wobbly.
Penny’s pups are doing well also but we have not opened their whelping box up yet or started on puppy mush. But they’re walking and playing and growing! All of our girls have been reserved but we do still have 4 more boy puppies available!
Penny had her babies!Penny couldn’t wait till her due date! She had her babies last night. 7 total. 5 girls 2 boys all are shades of red and Sable. The 4 big ones are doing great! The three little ones are going to need careful attention! These next few days will be crucial! The littlest one is the smallest puppy we have ever had born alive 3.4 ounces! Lucy’s babies are 2 days old!Lucy’s babies are doing great! They look so big and active compared with Penny’s new ones! All are gaining weight and Lucy’s milk is in!
Lucy delivered 9 lively beautiful babies this morning! 6 girls and 3 boys! All are nursing and breathing and warm which is the most I can ask of them at this point! The next two weeks will be the real test especially with Penny due in less than a week!
We were contacted by the owner of an older Havanese who is needing to find a new home for her older Havanese. Mobley is an 11 year old Havanese boy. His owner has had him since he was 1 year old and her health is not allowing her to keep him any longer. Mobley does very well with people dogs and lives to go to the park or out and about! Most people meeting him think he’s still a puppy! He is available to the right home for no cost!
Both Lucy and Penny are feeling well and getting so big! They waddle when they walk! I think we are going to have more than 8 puppies total and thankfully there’s not that much longer to wait! We’re on the last stretch of these pregnancies! Lucy is showing signs of readiness o check her temperature every day watching for the temperature drop! So far it’s always 100.3. As soon as it’s under 99.0 I’ll let you know because that usually means puppies writhing 24 hours!
Jude had a big day and traveled across the country and is home now! He is beautiful and has great confirmation. His temperament is great, he fit right into our pack effortlessly! He has great manners! I am so happy we get to have such a wonderful representation of this wonderful breed to add to our home and program (when he passes his health tests in a year).
We are still 2 weeks away from Lucy’s due date and 3 weeks from Penny’s but we are ready for puppies! We do have 8 of these reserved but by the looks of these bellies we will be able to post more availability soon!
